This weekend we went from this:
To this:

The color is my beloved Revere Pewter & my carpel tunnel is screaming.
Pillows are currently being made to bring in more color because that’s a whole ‘lotta grey.
The drapes were my big HUZZAH! for the weekend. I fell in love with these marigold linen curtains from West Elm but couldn’t justify the price tag when there were four to buy. I even tried the painted curtains tutorial from Pinterest & it’s awful. They look like painted curtains. Buy the real thing, folks. Then I saw World Market having a similar curtains on clearance, Cornsilk Chelsea curtains, but sold out online. So I crossed my fingers & drove across town & lucky me! in stock. A pair of panels for $17, bringing my grand total to roughly $35 for 4 panels.
Enter Roger Rabbit happy dance.
They were 84″ inches, which meant they were too short. So I let out the hem (stitch ripper!) & restitched with a much smaller hem.

I didn’t take pictures of me ripping out seams & sewing straight lines all weekend. It really wasn’t that exciting & I’m sure there’s a YouTube video somewhere if you can’t figure out how to rip out a stitch.
So glad to get that green covered!

Love! Simply love and can’t WAIT to see the cushions!
Looks great! The room looks like a great place to spend a lazy Saturday. We have that same train table. My parents wanted to get one for our daughter for Christmas. I knew that it wouldn’t fit in her room so I guided them to this one since the dark wood coordinated with our great room. My husband built a top for it so when we have parties we can stash the track and buildings, cover it with the top and use it as extra table space!
Gorgeous! And that yellow is a perfect pop of color! Painting sucks, but at least it’s rewarding!
I love it. The yellow is just the perfect pop. We are planning on rearranging/sharing bedrooms to make room for bebe #4 and I’m looking for just the right gray for the nursery. Revere pewter might be just the ticket.
Where did you get your area rug?! LOVE. <3
WOW! I love it!! I’ve been debating about grey for our living room and I think this has sealed the deal! I love the yellow drapes!
Did you guy tape off the crown molding/chair rail or are you just awesome at cutting in? I’d also love to know where the rug is from!
Sweet Jesus, I cannot get enough of all of the natural light in your house! Pretty changes
Don’t hate me, but i like the before (sans xmas tree) more. The green feels more inviting to me. Ask your carpal tunnel to paint it back, for me. K? Thanks.
I like the grey and the gold curtains, but I really liked the green
Maybe I’m projecting myself into your house b/c I look good in green
Can I hire you to decorate my house?
My first floor is nearly all Revere Pewter. I love it!
Whew. I’m glad I wasn’t the only one that liked the green before
. I LOVE grey & yellow- I just prefer to wear it instead
. The green just felt “warmer” to me & the grey seems cold; however I’m only looking at a picture too! It might be totally different when you are actually IN the room!
So uh… you gonna have a giveaway for the previous curtains…?
love it love it love it!!!!
LOVE!!! Where did you find your TV armoire? My TV sticks out like a sore thumb.
I fell in love with the marigold linen curtains too. I’d been looking for yellow curtains specifically for about two months and couldn’t find them anywhere. The ones on Overstock had some comments mentioning they looked olive. So, I decided to save myself the rage (I’m the anxious type) and just spend the $50 or so for the real thing. Wish I’d seen your post sooner; I would’ve tried that place. Lets hope they’re worth it.
In any case, they add the perfect amount of sunshine to your room. Good job!
