Christmas morning? Company over? Needing to impress a one night stand?

Ingredients
1 pint Heavy cream
Two eggs
Olive oil, enough to coat your frying pan
Artisan bread, thickly sliced

frenchtoast1 Recipe: The most impressive (& easy!) French toast ever.

  1. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over Medium. (you don’t want it too hot, otherwise you’ll fry & burn the bread!)
  2. Mix the cream & eggs in a bowl.
  3. Soak/cover the bread with the cream & egg mixture.
  4. Cook it in the pan, turning occasionally until crispy & brown.

Serve hot with butter, syrup, or fresh fruit as toppings.

Looks great! I usually do something similar, except I throw in a little sugar, cinnamon and vanilla into the egg mixture.

No sugar or cinnamon? It looks really yummy, I’ll prob add a little cinnamon since I’m an addict :)

Nope! You can definitely throw it in there, but we like to keep it “Herb-y” which kind of makes it both savory & sweet!

Oh definitely. That looks like it would be a good “breakfast for dinner” type french toast since it’s more savory. Can’t wait to try it!

I do just about the same thing, but also add about 1 tsp of cinnamon like the others mentioned above. Yum!! My family loves it.

Anything that starts with heavy cream will be awesome.

Looks yummy! How many servings does this usually make? Four?

Also, love the new design! I usually get updates on my phone through Google Reader so I haven’t seen the full site yet. Looks great!

Pi Love!

As much as you like! Seriously :) The measurements aren’t definite – we did an entire loaf of bread!

Why, oh why did I have to start a dang detox yesterday. I saw this and all I want is that french toast! That looks amazing (and I”m not just saying that because I’d eat my arm at this point). :)

This sounds almost as amazing and earth-shattering as your pancake recipe. You know, the one where you “open a box of pancake mix, add water, make pancakes.”

***MIND BLOWN***

Did you think of this one while sitting under your little sunlamp?

Hey, you know what I really like to do? Obsessively read & leave negative comments on the blog of someone I obviously dislike.

I like to read her blog, remember posts that were written years ago, then talk about them in another post on that same blog later on! Gosh golly, that’s how I like to spend my time!

Oh, wait. That’s how you spend your time.

Cool.
