I’m so excited to have a few days to settle down with a cup of coffee & my family.
That’s the beauty of Thanksgiving, no? That & those tiny marshmallows on top of sweet potato casserole.
My cousin Muff flew in last night & praise be, the tile & toilet were finished in the guest bathroom. Although the chaos in our house in the past few days has been unimagineable
between my father-in-law staying with a us for a few days for another dental surgery & me trying to get potatoes peeled & the dog tracking mud all over the house & Doug having to make a round-trip to Winston. Life, man. Just with a National Lampoon’s twist. But the tile is complete! The shitters work!
Pretty sure that if we have to go around the table & state what we’re thankful for, “Working shitters!” will be the first thing that pops out of my mouth & then we’ll have to catch The Momma in her dead faint.
I wish y’all the best & most merry Thanksgiving. May it be full of turkey comas & bear hugs from friends that you love. I have a Huggies post scheduled but for the most part, I plan to go a little radio silent until next week (mostly due to my fingers being busy shoving pumpkin pie into my face-parts). I am so thankful for each & every one of you that invites me into your life through this blog & the friendships we’ve made over it.
p.s. this happened on monday night when doug opened the front door. well played, money pit. well played.

The tile looks really nice! It almost has an iridescent sheen on it in the picture, where it looked kind of cold and bland in the pre-install picture.
Happy Thanksgiving. There’s so much to be thankful for this year, I won’t bore you with the details. Have a great week.
thanks! yeah, the sheen happens with the seal & it’s so smooth but not slick. It’s perfect for a kid’s bath.
Happy Thanksgiving, friend. (& never boring for the details)
I’ll celebrate in spirit, since we had Cdn thanksgiving a month ago. But, always good to remember what we’re thankful for. Enjoy your time with your loved ones!
The door handle coming off is hilarious!
If your title is referring to the guy in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, then it;s cousin Eddie.
Get your shitters right, man.
FARK.
Obviously, my shitter is full.
BAHAHAHAHAHA! You make me die laughing! Hope you guys have the most amazing Turkey Day evah!
What kind of tile did you use in the bathroom and where did you get it? I love it!
